CEFR Levels & YSP Programs
These steps take a maximum of 30 minutes
Verify your current CEFR English Grammar Level
In order to verify your level you need to register an account on youspeakplus.com. Registration is free.
1. Click the - START ONBOARDING - button on the YSP Program page
2. Click the - LOGIN TO ENROLL - button on the YSP Onboarding Grammar Level Check page
3. Now you can register a free AIM4 user account
When you have registered your account you will be able to access the grammar test.
Steps 1 - 3 take about 2 minutes
CEFR Levels
The CEFR (Common European Framework of Reference for Languages) is a standardized system that describes foreign language proficiency levels, including English. It categorizes language skills into six levels divided into three groups: A Levels (Basic User):
- A1 Beginner
- A2 Elementary
B Levels (Independent User):
- B1 Intermediate
- B2 Upper Intermediate
C Levels (Proficient User)

Book a detailed Speaking Assessment
In-depth Oral level test
In order to assign you to the correct YSP Program, we need to accurately measure your current speaking skill level. We do this with a 20 minute video meeting during which; - Our specialist speaking examiner* tests your level through a series of tasks and questions.
- We answer any questions you have about the program.
After the oral check we prepare a Starting Level Report and send it to you.
*Our Speaking Examiner is a Cambridge Exam Board trained interlocutor with experience of accurately grading students' speaking skills from A2 to C2 levels
The Speaking Assessment costs €10 If you then decide to join the YSP Program, the €10 assessment fee is 100% refunded

When the interview has been booked by the subscriber, it can only be rescheduled at the discretion of YSP
1 X 20 Minute oral test & interview in videoconference at a time scheduled on the YSP Oral test calendar app
1 X Starting Level Report: This report details the subscriber's CEFR Grammar & Oral level measured at the date of the report.
Subscribers are aware that the level in this report has valency for the YSP Program only. Although an accurate CEFR level is given, it is not an officially recognised level.
The €10 fee is refundable only to those Speaking Assessment Subscribers who subsequently join the YSP Program monthly subscription
The YSP Program Monthly Subscription: €74 pcm incl IVA. New subscribers get a 30% discount on their first month: So it costs you only €51.80, but that's reduced further to €41.80 with the speaking assessment refund! This subscription entitles subscribers to 4 SSMs (1 per week) and 4 VCs (1 per week) per month.
