Snowy egret
Recognisable by making an "S" with its neck that can be coiled in when they fly or hunt stealthily. They shoot their neck like a harpoon, with so much force, they can spear a fish with their straight and sharp beak, like a sword.
Green frog
It is the most abundant amphibian in the river park,
recognisable by its characteristic croak
in areas with calm waters and vegetation.
European gras snake
Also called a water snake, it is a non-poisonous ophidian.
The length of an adult male is
about 1 m, but some females can reach as much as 2 m. The yellow collar is very strong in young snakes but it fades, becoming less striking in adults.
