Right Hand Menu

At the right-hand margin of each page, except for the home page, you will find a menu bar that will appear when you place the cursor over it. It has the following functionality: Presentation mode allows you to present to a class in full-screen mode. You can Print this page for classroom use. You can bookmark the page as one of your Favourites that is visible on the homepage under your name. You can add Personal notes on a page that are visible only to you. You can Share this page through email or social media. There is also a link to all the Teaching materials on the site.

Main Heading

The main headings run along the top menu bar. Placing your cursor over headings will reveal any additional drop-down menus.

Search

The search bar is in the top-right corner of every page under the InThinking logo. The results will show you all pages on the site where the information may be found - as well as where the information is mentioned in comments made on the site. If you are typing in the name of a concept that includes multiple words (like "feminist film theory"), it is best to put the concept or phrase in quotation marks so that the whole phrase is searched for, limiting the results to only cases where the full name is addressed - e.g. "Feminist Film Theory."

Section Navigation

When you have selected one of the tabs at the top of the page, the navigation menu here on the left side of the screen will show you all the pages contained in this section. The organization of the pages is often important to understanding the hierarchy of information. Click the little arrows to access sub-pages.
