Sarita V. Medhekar serves as Instructor II and Program Director for the Software Developer and Game Design program at LSCPA. Holding a Master’s degree in Computer Science from Lamar University, she has expanded her expertise through certifications in diverse areas, including programming languages (JAVA, HTML, CSS, C, C++), .Net, Software Testing, MSCIT, AutoCAD, Virtual Reality Game Development, and Effective Instruction through ACUE. Her academic accomplishments also include postgraduate certifications in Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) and Cloud Computing from the University of Texas, Austin.

With over seven years of teaching experience, Sarita has been a mentor and guide, inspiring her students to excel academically and professionally. Sarita organized the Game Design Showcase on November 21, 2019, to present games created by her Software Development and Game Design students. Each student showcased a unique game, highlighting their creativity and technical prowess. The event received coverage in the local newspaper, Port Arthur News

Sarita proudly reflects on mentoring her students from 2018 to 2024, during which her Software Developer and Game Design program achieved an impressive total of 20 medals at state-level competitions, including 12 Gold, 2 Silver, and 6 Bronze medals. Notably, her students also won a Bronze Medal at the national level in 2024—the first national-level win in LSCPA’s history. Innovative Curriculum:§ Programming in JAVA, C, C++, and C#. § Operating systems (Windows, Mac, Linux) and Cyber Security. § Database models using Access, Oracle, and SQL Server. § Web design and development with HTML5/CSS, JavaScript. § Game design and Virtual Reality using Unity and Unreal Engine. § 3D Modeling and Animation using Blender and Adobe Creative Suite. § Drafting technology, including 2D and 3D AutoCAD.
