“This is My World” is an international educational project designed to help students explore their own environment, culture, traditions, and daily life, while sharing and comparing their experiences with peers around the world. Integrating this project into the curriculum provides authentic opportunities to meet multiple educational goals across subjects. Foreign Language Students practice reading, writing, speaking, and listening in the target language through real communication — letters, emails, online exchanges, presentations, and project reports. Geography: The project encourages students to investigate their local community and country, then compare it with others. They learn about cultural diversity, global citizenship, traditions, geography, and daily life around the world. ICT : Participants use digital tools to communicate, create presentations, posters, videos, and share information online safely and responsibly. Art : Students may illustrate aspects of their world through drawings, photos, crafts, or multimedia, connecting artistic expression with cultural identity. Citizenship and Values Education: The project promotes tolerance, respect for diversity, teamwork, and active global citizenship, all of which are part of modern values education. Competency-Based Approach “This is My World” helps develop: Key Competencies: communication in foreign languages, digital competence, social and civic competence, cultural awareness. 21st Century Skills: critical thinking, collaboration, creativity, and problem solving.
