The Basket/ Hoop

The basket consists of a metal rim with a net, mounted on a backboard. It is 10 feet (3.05 meters) above the ground. Scoring is achieved by shooting the ball through the hoop. The rim and height are identical to those in traditional basketball. Only one basket is used.

The Key (Paint)

The rectangular area below the basket, also known as the "paint" or "lane." This area is crucial for offense and defense, often a hotspot for rebounds and close-range scoring. Offensive players cannot stay in the key for more than three seconds. Defensive plays often focus here due to its proximity to the basket.

The Free-Throw Line

A line 15 feet (4.57 meters) from the backboard, located at the top of the key. Players take free throws from this line after a foul. The shooter must stand behind the line and cannot cross it until the ball hits the rim.

The Free-Throw Circle

The 2-Point Line

An arc that surrounds the basket at a distance of 6.75 meters (22.1 feet) from the hoop. Shots made from beyond this arc are worth two points in 3x3 basketball (not three, as in regular basketball). The player’s feet must be behind the arc when the ball is released to earn two points.

The Sidelines and the Baseline

The Sidelines: The long boundary lines running the length of the court. They mark the outer boundaries of play. If the ball or a player steps on or beyond the sideline, it is out of bounds. Baseline: The shorter boundary line directly under the basket. It marks the end boundary of the court.
