Compound
There are two disciplines in archery. The upper field showcases the one for the discipline Compound.
Target (Compound)
In Compound Archery the athletes can get Points between 5 - 10 for one shot. The diameter of the target is 80 cm.
Positions
Both Teams shoot in lines next to each other.
Recurve
There are two disciplines in archery. The lower field showcases the one for the discipline Recurve.
Central shooting spot
From this point the athletes have the most central shooting spot to the target. It is in a line to the target.
Coaches Area
Here is the area for the coaches who can give there athletes several instructions. From this place they have a good view and usually they have binoculars to have the best vision.
Waiting Area
In this area the Athletes wait before they get to the shooting line. After they get a signal they can move forward to the shooting line and their shooting time starts.
Target Distance (Recurve)
The distance to the target in Recurve Archery is 70 Meters.
Target (Recurve)
In Recurve Archery you can get 1 - 10 points by shooting the right areas. The diameter of the target is 122 cm.
Shooting line
This is the shooting line from where the athletes take their shots.
Target (Compound)
In Compound Archery the athletes shoot on four targets. The reasons for that: 1. Avoiding Arrow Damage: Compound bows shoot arrows with high speed and precision. Using multiple target faces prevents arrows from colliding and damaging each other. 2. Scoring Clarity: Assigning each archer their own target face avoids confusion and ensures accurate scoring. 3. Precision and Challenge: Smaller target faces demand greater focus and accuracy, increasing the difficulty level for competitors. In Recurve competition the archers aim only for one target.
Target distance (Compound)
The distance to the target is 50 meters in Compound.
