Ekium, a success story born in Lyon
Granted, it was a trick question! Ekium was indeed created in 1990, but by 4 friends from Lyon. On the other hand, it's the SNEF Group, our shareholder, which was created in Marseille 120 years ago!
In 1990, 4 friends set out in the instrumentation, electricity and automation business. Today, 2,500 employees generate sales of €300m. Since 2017, our shareholder has been the SNEF Group, a French multitechnical company specialising in the marine, industrial, energy, infrastructure and service sectors. The last 5 years have been particularly significant...

Ekium France has just obtained ISO 19443 certification for its head office and nuclear design office in Lyon! This certificate attests to the performance of our Integrated Management System applied by our teams for IPSN activities in the Nuclear sector.
Our 2500 employees in some fifty branches are present in 14 countries.

French leader and European player in industrial engineering
In 2024, we won the Grand Prix National de l'Ingénierie (National Engineering Award) for the completion of an All Civil Works project on behalf of ACC (Automotive Cells Company). The award, presented by the French Ministry for the Environment and Ecological Transition and the French Ministry for the Economy, Industry and the Digital Economy, highlights the constant commitment of our teams over more than 3 years to this extraordinary project!
On a daily basis, our EKIP supports its customers in their strategy, their projects, the transformation, design and construction of their industrial buildings and equipment, as well as in the management of their production and facilities.

In 2023, we integrated Sofresid Engineering, enabling us to become a major player in offshore wind energy and naval defence, round out our current Green Energies offering, take a position in upstream oil & gas engineering and complete our territorial coverage.
The FIVA Group, comprising Diva Ingénierie, Techno Pro, Sogeiva, Techno Pro Hispania and FIVA Australia, will join Ekium. This Group, with its wide-ranging expertise, is a real asset that has enabled us to complete our national and international territorial coverage, to become a key player in the naval sector and more particularly in naval defence, and to develop our activity in the mining industry.

ISO Ingénierie is a company specialising in industrial risk management. Our teams provide training in the following areas:
- Operating safety, functional safety,
- Quali-SILIndustrial risk management
- Nuclear safety control systems,
- Cybersecurity.

In 2022, CPQ Ingenieros joined us. This synergy will enable Ekium to mutually reinforce our skills in a variety of fields: process, civil engineering, piping, HVAC, mechanics, etc., to increase our production capacity and to strengthen our European reach.
En 2015, la société mauricienne Consultec devient Ekium AMIO
In October 2018, we became part of Air Consult. Based in Belgium, the company provides multidisciplinary and integrated engineering, project definition, project management, regulatory consultancy and validation services in the life sciences industries. ATEIM and Chleq Froté also joined us in December 2018. With 70 years' experience in the paper engineering sector and its involvement in the development of more than 550 manufacturing lines for all types of paper, Chleq Froté provides its expertise to operators of industrial paper sites to develop their projects whatever the purpose (new installations, optimisation of existing, upgrades, revampings,...), from opportunity studies to commissioning. These integrations have enabled us to improve our coverage of the country and extend our engineering offering to other key sectors generating major projects.
