To finalise your application, students applying with a non-Belgian diploma must pay a non-refundable application fee of €90.
Additionally, make sure to check your programme's Tuition Fees (Track 1) and VUB Financial Support options.

How long will it take?
How long will it take? What to look out for?
After you submit your application (within 24 hours), you will get an e-mail confirming that we've received your application. Our student administration will verify if all required documents are included.
We start screening your application as soon as we receive the application fee, and the entire process can take up to 10 weeks. You will be updated via e-mail throughout the different steps in the application process. During the screening process, you may be contacted by e-mail if any required documents are missing or incorrect, or if additional evidence of your educational expertise and academic proficiency is needed by the Admission Board. Please check your e-mail (and spam) regularly. It is not possible to fast-track your application. You will be notified via e-mail as soon as a decision has been made. Want to check your status during the screening process? Log in to the application tool with your personal e-mail and password, and check the overview to see the status of your submitted application.

Direct Admission
- Direct admission is granted if you obtained a Belgian bachelor's degree in educational sciences, pedagogical sciences, or adult education sciences.
- Direct admission is also granted if you obtained a Belgian bachelor's degree in psychology or social sciences.

Non-Belgian (Foreign) Degree
- Your file will be evaluated by the Admission Board. If you have a bachelor's degree other than in educational sciences, pedagogical sciences, psychology, social sciences or academic teacher education, your application will be more thoroughly screened. In such cases, we advise you to present further evidence of educational expertise, academic and methodological proficiency, and background.

- Prospective students are advised to apply as soon as possible, even if they have not yet obtained their degree.
- If the proof of English proficiency or certificate is not ready before the deadline, you can always submit it later instead of missing the deadline.
Final registration
Accepted!
In this stage your application has been approved and you will receive notice that your study contract is ready to be signed. This will happen from 1 July onwards.

After signing your study contract, you will receive:
- Confirmation email of your signed contract.
- Enrolment certificate sent to your personal email.
- Student card and an activation email for your VUB account.
- Access to register your courses for the upcoming academic year with your VUB account.
