How to Play

Cafeteria Bre K

Roll the Die

Cafeteria

Instructions

You stare impatiently at the clock, hands ticking painstakingly slow. When the bell finally dings, you rush to the cafeteria, ready to stretch your legs and rest your mind. As you try to leave, though, you are immediatley stopped. Roll the die & progress along the course to try and escape before you're due back to class. Each space will have a point value, where you either receive or lose points. At 1:20 (space #20), D-lunch is almost over and so you must add up all your points. Then, find which lunchtime fate your number correlates to.

Space Number 1:

You exit the cafeteria and just try to walk down the hallway, hoping to go unnoticed. It's never that simple. -1 Point

Space Number 2:

You go outside and loop around the building once you're done eating. One way to stretch your legs after class. +1 Point

Space Number 3:

You can't find a way to leave the cafeteria, but you did find a table with your friends. Not too bad. 0 Points

Space Number 4:

The staff member is distracted by other students. You manage to sneak by. +1 Point

Space Number 5:

You're not that hungry, so you don't end up going to the cafeteria at all. No food, but freedom 0 Points

Space Number 6:

The cafeteria line is packed, students clamoring to buy cookies or bags of chips. You barely have time to eat, much less walk around. -1 Point

Space Number 7:

It's an early-release day, so you just go to a restaurant outside of school. None of the other people eating there ask the servers when they can leave. +2 Points

Space Number 8:

You attempt to eat outside to avoid the cafeteria, but it ends up pouring rain. At least you have water with your food. -2 Points

Space Number 9:

The food you're eating has a sharp and unpleasant taste, leaving you as bitter as your meal. Unlucky, but not really the school's fault, though... 0 Points

Space Number 10:

You manage to get your food and leave the cafeteria before passing period ends. You drop your tray right as you approach a comfortable spot to eat. -1 Point

Space Number 11:

You bring lunch from home, so you have no need to go to the cafeteria. Food and freedom. +1 Point

Space Number 12:

The therapy dogs are outside the cafeteria, tails wagging happily. You don't need to escape today, after all. 0 Points

Space Number 13:

You're forced to stay in the cafeteria, but they're giving out free cookies today. Sweetens the deal a bit. +1 Point

Space Number 14:

You wait until there's only a couple minutes before the bell dings, but you're still stopped. Everyone heads to class simultaneously, crowding the hallway. -1 Point

Space Number 15:

"Where are you going?" "To the bathroom." +1 Point

Space Number 16:

You can't leave the cafeteria, but you brought your trusty headphones/earbuds/airpods Somehow, though, you can still hear the noise of the room 0 Points

Space Number 17:

"Can I go back to class early? I need to talk to my teacher." "No." -1 Point

Space Number 18:

You manage to eat in the hallway instead of the cafeteria, but you don't clean up your trash. McLean continues to station staff members around the school. -1 Point

Space Number 19:

You're an upperclassman who's graduating next year anyway. Colleges and/or careers don't do this. +1 Point

The Bell Has Rung

Lunch is now over. Add up your point values to see your ending. -8 to -5: your lunch break seemed more stressful and restrictive than not being on break -4 to -1: You wish you could've had more freedom, but it's not the end of the world 0 to 3: You got to eat and didn't have to do classwork, but you're still not refreshed 4 to 7: You escaped, or you stayed in the cafeteria but enjoyed it 8: Your lunch break was the best part of your school day
