Integrating several stakeholders from different areas and different visions will promote the Atlantic as a genuine marine destination for creating value for the oceans through science and tourism diversification, mainly during low and medium season periods and, at the same time, supporting the local community. Young generations of European citizens can have the opportunity to see, observe, listen and understand the marine ecosystem in a different way, accompanied by professional marine biologists, skippers and researchers that will prepare them for their professional future.

Project partners
We offer internships in nautical tourism enterprises located in Madeira, Azores, Tenerife or Martinique. It consists on packages of student and other type of exchange including theoretical sessions, data collection/analysis, and hands-on trainings in multiple fields (navigation, bioacoustics, cetacean behavior recognition, knot-tying, spotting, skipper support, photo ID, tour guides, hydrophones), both on land and at sea. This is an opportunity to learn in a culture of sea and marine biodiversity in the North Atlantic.Participants will be inmersed in a genuine culture of social and environmental responsibility, a key value of the enterprises participating. It promotes a maritime tourism segment of enterprises with a common vision throughout the Atlantic (more cooperation, more knowledge, more sustainability).
End users: Biologists, environmentalists, climatologists or any researcher/student aiming to do a fieldwork and collect data related to water quality, marine species, noise, cetaceans (Master, Phd thesis and beyond). Photographers for leisure, work, or studies. Volunteer tourists wanting to learn about the sea and sailing. EU residents passionate of marine science, oceanography, marine biodiversity, cetaceans and pelagic birds. Passionates to learn about yatching and sailing activities. Students looking for adventurous experiences in their one year gap before the university Universities, and other training needs to complete education programmes with students’ internships
