Meeting Dr. Steam FOR THE FIRST TIME-Πρωτη γνωριμια με τον δρ stEAM.

We watched the video and after we discussed about scientists and what they do. Παρακολουθήσαμε το βίντεο και στη συνέχεια γνωρίσαμε περισσότερα πράγματα για τους επιστήμονες και την δουλειά τους.

The scinetist's box! Το κουτί του επιστήμονα!

Αφόμηση μας έδωσε το κουτί του Dr.Steam.Το κουτί είχε κάθε φορά τα απαραίτητα υλικά που θα μας βοηθούσαν να εξερευνήσουμε το φως και τις σκιές. Dr STeam would send us a box with the materials needed to help us investigate light and shadows.

Παιχνιδια με το φως και το σκοταδι- playing games with light and dark

We created a dark room and the children had the opportunity to discover hidden pictures and to experiment with various types of light in the dark- Δημιουργήσαμε ένα σκοτεινό δωμάτιο και εκεί τα παδιά είχαν την ευκαιρία να παίξουν και να ανακαλύψουν κρυμμένες εικόνες αλλά και να πειραματιστούν με διαφορές φωτεινές πηγές.

Τι υπαρχει στο κλειστο κουτι;- What is in the closed box?

Στα παιδια παρουσιάστηκε το πρόβλημα: Πως θα δω τι υπάρχει στο κλειστό κουτί; Είχαν την ευκαιρία να πειραματιστούν με διαφορα υλικά και επρεπε να βρουν τον τρόπο να δουν τι κρυβεται στο κλειστό κουτί που είχε δυο τρύπες.The children were faced with the problem of finding a way to see what was hidden in a closed box. They had various materials and a box with two holes. They experimented and exchanged ideas with their peers in order to find a solution

Τransparent non trasparent materials.Διαφανή και αδαφανή υλικά.

Τα παιδιά πειραματίστηκαν με διάφορα υλικά διαφανή και αδιαφανή ώστε να βρουν την κατάλληλη κρυψώνα για το μικρό ελεφαντάκι που έπαιζε κρυφτό με το φίλο του το τερατάκι. The children experimented with various transparent and non transparent materials so they could help the little elephant to play hide and seek with his friend the monster.

Transparent non trasparent materials 2.- Διαφανή και αδιαφανή υλικά 2.

Τα παιδια έπρεπε να βοηθήσουν το ελεφαντακι να βρει το κατάλληλο υλικό για να τυλίξει το δώρο του, ώστε να είναι έκλπληξη για το φίλο του. στόχος μας να βρούμε το κάταλληλο υλικό για την κάπα της Shady. The children had to help little elephant to find a material to wrap his gift so it would be a surprize for his friend. Our target was to discover the non transparent material to create Shady's cape.

Παιζοντασ με τισ σκιεσ μασ!- playing with our shadows!

Outside we discovered shadows. The shadows of our toys and trees but also our own shadows. We chaced our friends shadow, We created shadows various shapes and sizes. and we danced with our shadow!Εξω στην αυλή μας ανακαλύψαμε τις σκιές. Σκιές των παιχνιδιών, των δέντρων αλλά και τις δικές μας. Παίξαμε με τισ σκιές μας κυνηγητό.Φτιάξαμε σκιές διαφόρων μεγεθών και σχημάτων. Και τέλος χορέψαμε με τις σκιές μας,

ζωγραφιζοντασ σκιεσ ζωων- Drawing animal shadows

Μια ηλιόλουστη μέρα βγηκαμε στην αυλή με τα ζωάκια μας και ζωγραφίσαμε την σκιά τους. A beautiful sunny day we went outside with our toy animals and created drawings of their shadow.

Διαδικτυακά παιχνίδια-online games.

We played various online games that our partners created or found on the web. Παίξαμε τα διάφορα παιχνίδια που έφτιαξαν οι εταίροι μας ή βρήκαν στο διαδίκτυο.

The racoon and the light- Ο ασβος και το φως.

Παρακολουθήσαμε την ταινία μικρού μήκους, φτιάξαμε την ιστορία και στην συνέχεια τα παιδιά έφτιαξαν μαγικές εικόνες . We watched the short film, created the story and after the children created magic pictures.

Φυσικεσ και τεχνητεσ πηγεσ φωτοσ- Natural and man made light sources

We learned about natural and man made light sources and played a game on wordwall.Μάθαμε για φυσικές και τεχνητές πηγες φωτός και παίξαμε ένα παιχνίδι σχετικό στο wordwall.

Animal shadows- Σκιές ζώων. The children created animal shadows on the wall and the rest of the children tried to guess what it was. Τα παιδιά έφτιαχναν με τα χεράκια τους σκίες ζώων στο τοίχο και τα υπόλοιπα παιδιά προσπαθούσαν να μαντέψουν τι ήταν.

Σκιεσ και τεχνη- Shadows and art.

We connected shadows and art.Our hand. Keith Haring's dancing figers we turned them in to dancing shadows. Συνδέσαμε τις σκιές με την τέχνη. Τα χέρια μας Οι φιγούρες του Keith Haring έγιναν σκιές που χορεύουν.

Collaborating with our partners-Συνεργασία με τους εταίρους μας.

We met online with the children of 6th Kindergarten of Egaleo, Greece and on another day with Ic Pontecorvo1, Italy and played the game Match the shadow. We had alot of fun. Παίξαμε με τα παιδιά του 6ου Νηπιαγωγείου Αιγάλεω και μια άλλη μέρα με το Ic Pontecorvo1, Ιταλίας. Παίξαμε το συνεργατικό παιδνίδι:Match the shadow. Περάσαμε καταπληκτικά!

Ζωγραφίζοντας το Φθινόπωρο- Painting Autunm.

The children of Itu Gvo Dr Sedat Urundul preschool-Turkey created the picture with colors and my children created the picture with black to look like the shadow. Τα παιδιά Itu Gvo Dr Sedat Urundul preschool-Turkey δημιούργησαν την ζωγραφιά του Φθινοπώρου με χρώματα και τα δικά μου παιδιά με μαύρο για να δίνει την εντύπωση της σκιάς,

Η shady και η καπα της! shady and her cape!

After learning and getting involved in STEAM activities about light and shadow it was time to create our Shady and her non transparent cape. We used various materials transparent and non transparent to create her and her cape. Με το πέρας της ενότητας και της ενασχόλησης των παιδιών με STEAM δραστηριότητες ήρθε η ώρα να δημιουργήσουμε την Shady μαςκαι την κάπα της. Χρησιμοποιήσαμε διαφανή και αδιαφανή υλικά.

Evaluation and prize! Αξιολόγηση και βραβείο!

'Εγινε αξιολόγηση της ενότητας, ώστε να δούμε τι έμαθαν τα παιδιά . Ο Dr. Steam εστειλε το βραβείο μας: ένα μετάλλιο και ένα κομμάτι παζλ, που θα μας οδηγήσει, με την ολοκλήρωση του έργου σε μια έκπληξη! There was an evaluation of the unit and what was learned by the children. And Dr. Steam sent us our prize: a medal and a puzzle piece, that will lead us to a surprise when the project ends!
