THE THREE SCIENTIFIC LAWS

By Adrián Gómez and Eliot Dario Cabrera

1. INTRODUCTION

Today we are going to tell you about these three scientific laws:

  • Gay-Lusac law:
  • Boyle-Mariotte law:
  • Charles law:

2. EXPLANATION

A) Boyle-Mariotte law:

EXAMPLE OF BOYLE-MARIOTTE LAW

For example, when you have a syringe and you put the finger in the nozzle and you press you only can move a little because the gases comprime and it is very difficult to move it.

B) Charles law:

EXAMPLE OF CHARLES LAW

You have a balloon with a temperature of 0ºC and a volume of 2 litres. If the temperature increase to 20ºC the volume of the balloon expand.
C)Gay-Lusac law:

Examples of Gay-Lusac

For example if you have a wheel with low pressure. His volume will be low but if you increase the pressure the volume will increase.

Gay-Lussac law say that the absolute temperature and pressure of an ideal gas are directly proportional under conditions of constant mass and volume.

Gay-Lussac was a chemist and physicist. He born on December 6 of 1778 in Saint-Léonard-de-Noblat (French) and died on May 9 of 1850 in Paris.

Charles law say that constant pressure and the temperature increases, the volume of the gas increases

Jacques Charles was chemist, physicist and aeronaut. He born on 2 November 1746 in Loiret (French) and died in Paris on 7 April 1823. He broke the aerostatic balloon record

Boyle-Mariotte's law describes the relationships between pressure and volume of a gas.

Robert Boyle was a philosopher and theological writer in the 17th century. He born on January of the 1627 and die on December of 1691.

Edme Mariotte was a physicist and plant physiologist. She born in 1620 in Dijon(France) and die on May of the 1684 in París.
