SNAKES
If the player lands on a square where the tail of a snake begins, they descend to a lower square where the head is located.
If the player lands on the foot of a ladder, they move up to the top square where the ladder ends.
INSTRUCTIONS
Players start with a token on the initial square and take turns rolling the dice. Tokens move up the board. If a player lands on a square with a ladder, they climb to the top; if they land on a snake's mouth, they slide down to its tail. If a player rolls a 6, they can move twice. Rolling three 6s in a row sends the player back to the start until they roll another 6. The first player to reach the final square wins. In a variation, if a player is six or fewer squares from the end, they must roll exactly the number needed to finish. If they roll too high, they cannot move.
