In Germany, compulsory schooling starts at 6 years and lasts 9 years in most of the Länder or 10 years in some of them. Children can also start primary school between the ages of 5 and 7. German education is divided into two parts: lower and upper secondary. The aim of lower secondary education in Germany is to provide pupils with a general education to prepare them for entry into upper secondary education. There are many vocational courses at the higher level.

- Gymnasium: The student's ability to use digital tools efficiently, ensuring the technical quality of the final product will be considered.
- Realschule: The coherence of the content and the clarity in the presentation of ideas will be valued, ensuring that the message is easily understandable for the target audience.
