THE GLOW

A gentle wind was blowing through the campsite as my brother and I put up our tent. The forest around us rustled softly, and the last rays of sunlight painted the sky in orange hues. As we hammered the final peg into the ground, a strange, bluish light flickered among the trees. “What’s that?” I whispered. My brother grabbed a flashlight, and together we crept toward the glow. Peering through the bushes, we froze. A tiny orb floated, pulsing like a heartbeat. Suddenly, it zipped away, leaving us breathless and mystified.
