This song is one of her most liked and famous songs of this album.When the song was released, the people did not expect the meaning and background of this,producing a lot of controversial opinions. Your power is the twelfth song of the album(tracklist).Although your power is one of the famous songs of the album,there are others very listened like “Happier than ever” or “Therefore I Am”. The principal characteristics of these song are the calm and peace that the rhythm,pauses and her voice produce.The song has a melancholic atmosphere but also reflexive about all the topics she deals in the songs.

This songs transmit calm and melancholy.One of my favorite elements that they use is the guitar.The background melody of this instrument adds peace.Also, the chords of the guitar (F7M.Am,Em) it repeats, making a catchy and peacfully song

This song is still listened by her fans but,it isn't listen as much as it was in 2021.Nowadays, is still one of her most popular of the album.

The elements that we can found in the songs are very related with the name of it.Your power like I already mentioned,is a very calm and peaceful song.Billie Eilish's voice has a depressed tone that allowes her to produce a melancholyc song.The guitar,her background vocals and the artificial melodys that Finneas and Billie Eilish added generate a sad and calm atmosphere

Finally,she ends with the lines "but power isn' t pain"telling us that power it doesn' t have to be painful.The abuse of power generate problems like the case of the song

Also,in the line "for keep her in a cage" she wants to explain how she felt when she was with him.This line is a metaphor of how trapped she felt in this toxic relationship

The first verse is about how Billie Eilish was deceived by her ex-boyfriend and how easy was to do it. The third verse specifies us that he was older than her.In the interview Howard Stern Show,they asked Billie Eilish what is about Your power.She said that in this verse alludes to sexual abuse.This controversial topic we can finded in the lines "You said you thought she was your age" and "She was sleepin' in your clothes"

The music video has a very muted colors in the color palette.All are warm colours.Predominates colours like green,brown and yellow.This colours transmit a sad and death nature tones

In the music video we can see two fundamental characters,Billie Eilish and the snake At first,we can only see Billie Eilish but later a snake that slowly will try to suffocate her

In the video we can see a Billie Eilish alone in a mountain.The more the video progress,we can see something getting closer,a snake.The snake will try to suffocate her.Is it a linear story that ends with her allowing the snake suffocate her.Although its a lineal and a explicit story, is also abstract.The snake reprsent her ex-boyfriend who kills her slowly while she allowed that. The suffocate of the snake represent all toxic behaviors from him.

The music and the music video are calm and melancholic and they have the same continuity.In some parts of the song,she sings along the music.Sometimes when she stop singing or changed the verse it changes the shot. 2:58-3:19

The snake is the most interesting detail.The snake represent the toxic relationship and how its she trapped because of love.Billie tell us that we cant be under someones power.At the end,she doesnt opposed about the control of the snake,referencing how we could be able to be manipulated and abused just for love and the difficulty to escape from this snake(the relarionship)

The music video happens in a mountain.This mountain represent the loneliness that feels Billie.The mountain its also how she perceived her relationship,alone,desertic.Also,when the snake reached her,she can not ask for help because the lonely mountais.

In my opinion,this music video represent exaclty the feeling of being trapped of love.I love how Billie Eilish and Finneas tell us a story of a very controversial topic(abuse and sexual abuse).I like how she express her story with an older abusive boyfriend.I think this situation,of being in a relationship with someone older,is very common and dangerous.For all this things,I think that Your power is one of the best songs of Happier than ever and should be more listened
