What are you doing to save the planet?
- Think green before you shop. If you reuse or recycle your materials from last year, you will save money and help the planet.
- Buy and use school supplies made from recycled products, such as pencil cases made from old blue jeans and binders made from old boxes.
- If you bring your lunch to school, bring it in containers that you can reuse instead of ones that you throw away. Carry food in reusable plastic or cloth bags, and bring drinks in a reusable bottle instead of bottles or cartons that you use only one time.

What are you doing to save the planet?
- When you buy food, take only what you need. Too often, extra condiment packets and napkins go to waste.
- Remember to recycle your cans and bottles after you finish eating.
- Make posters that remind students of the importance of this practice.
