Miami is an amazing urban area in the U.S., located in the southeast coast in the state of Florida. It is also a huge port and resort. Miami’s urban area includes the majestic Miami Beach. I had the chance to visit this modern and colorful city recently. I was amazed by its diversity, charm, and lovely weather. I made a list of the places I recommend if you ever have the chance to visit.

Ocean Drive and South Beach These are two famous places located south of Miami Beach. In the morning, the beach is packed with people and bathing in sunshine, water, and sand. The seafront is jammed with fit roller-skaters, loud Latin music, and tourists. Along Ocean Drive, the majestic Art Deco buildings host lively bars and restaurants where you can enjoy a variety of cocktails, international food, and an exciting nightlife.

Wynwood Wynwood is an up-and-coming neighborhood located north of Miami’s downtown. Many of its traditional warehouses have been transformed into contemporary art galleries, apartment buildings, restaurants, and bars. The area is also very popular because of its colorful street art murals and the famous Wynwood Walls, a street art museum.

Downtown Miami Miami’s downtown hosts an important financial district, but also government offices, museums, theaters, parks, shops, and historic buildings. Downtown Miami has an impressive public transportation system combining Metrorail (elevated train), Metromover (automated trains) and Metrobus (buses network). If you enjoy walking, Downtown Miami has two beautiful waterfront pathways which make up one spectacular corridor!

Aventura Mall Aventura Mall is the fifth largest mall in the U.S., located in the city of Aventura between Miami and Fort Lauderdale. This shopping mall combines luxury boutiques, department stores, retail stores, a gigantic slide tower and an unconventional food hall. While shopping, you can enjoy an important art display of sculptures, murals, paintings, and installations throughout the mall.
