Spaghetti Western
Do you like Western movies? They tell stories about cowboys, criminals and towns in the middle of the desert. You may think they are typical American movies. But the truth is that in the 1960s and 1970s Italian directors made a lot of Western movies. Italians called these films "Westerns all’italiana" (Italian-style Western). Later, the name changed to “spaghetti Westerns” as a reference to the typical Italian food.

Spaghetti Westerns
Spaghetti Westerns usually had low costs and included bad guys as protagonists, awful villains, desert landscapes, music that was not traditional, and a lot of violence. Sergio Leone was one of the best Italian directors. He directed some of the most popular Westerns ever and became famous all around the world.
