The Thanksgiving orginins are dated back in the '600s, during the Pilgrims period, in the U.S. and in Canada. Some English colonizers where forced to leave England because of religion related persecutions and decided to colonize a specific part of North America, where a grup of people, all from the same Indigenous group, helped them survive and get used to the new ambient. They teached the colonizers how to get food, by fishing, hunting and growing corn and other local plants, and also how to defend themselves from other indigenous people that could've attacked them. After all of this they decided to organize a feast to express gratitude both to the Gods and to the indigenous people that helped them.

Nowdays thanks giving is mainly celebrated in the U.S. but also in some Canadian regions. People today like to have a feast with their family members and have fun all together. What they don't know is that in reality the true meaning is to express gratitude to the gods and the whole feast is just a popular way to celebrate it. The feast was first introduced cause the colonizers thought that all the food they managed to gather was given them by the Gods and so they had to celebrate such a beatiful event.

The main things that people do during Thanksgiving are:1. A big feast that always has a roasted turkey as the main dish. 2. They reunite with all their family and friends. 3. They express gratitude for the good things that are in their life with a short, but meaningful, sentence. 4. They do volunteering. 5. They decorate their house with Autumn theme decorations. 6. They go shopping as there is the black friday event where shops create huge discounts on their products.
