PRESENT CONTINUOUS

FOR FUTURE PLANS

USE

We usually use the present continuous when the plan is an arrangement – already confirmed with at least one other person and we know the time and place.

An arrangement is something that is done to prepare or plan for something in the future. It is also an agreement between two people or groups about something that will happen.

There are some common expressions used to refer to or when the action will take place in the future.

Go, come, leave, arrive, fly, have, start, go out, visit, meet, stay.
