Student Life is made of various departments that provide non-academic services to students. They work closely with the DSO to help provide a variety of service to students. Click on the plus buttons to learn more about each department.

Counseling Services
In-person and remote counseling sessions are available to students. Workshops and other services related to mindfulness, wellness, grief, de-stress, anxiety, and more. To begin counseling services, contact the Office of Counseling Services to schedule an appointment.
ResLife
Living on campus can be a great experience for college students. The ResLife team is here to help provide safe, comfortable, and fun campus living experiences. The ResLife department includes all campus dorms, apartments, and housing. They can help with housing accommodations and registering service or emotional support animals.
Spiritual Life on Campus
The Office of Spiritual Formation provides chaplain services, prayer requests, worship opportunities, and the Baptist Student Ministry. This office also is in charge of Chapel and chapel credits.

Mentoring
A mentoring program is available for students to assist with first-year students transitions into life in college. The purpose of the program is to form relationships, get encouragement, and become empowered to become equipped for a lifetime of success. They can help provide tools, resources, and connections.
Career Services
The Career Services team provides a wealth of knowledge and resources related to connecting with employers, exploring career options, and achieving your professional goals. Some services include:
- Writing and reviewing resumes.
- Researching career fields.
- Job Boards
- And links to many other outside resources.
Fitness and Recreation
Students have access to the university fitness center, pool, and intramural fields. Students can utilize the various facilities and intramural sports. Intramurals include volleyball, basketball, soccer, softball, and more.
International Student Services
The Office of Global Engagement works to support international students throughout their time with HSU. This includes providing assistance with new student orientation, transportation, advising and immigration services, health-insurance, and on-campus employment.
