• Day 1: Historic Center and Piazza Navona Morning: Visit Piazza Venezia and the Altare della Patria. Walk along Via del Corso to reach the Trevi Fountain (don’t forget to toss a coin!). Afternoon: Stroll around Piazza di Spagna and climb the Spanish Steps. Explore Piazza Navona and its fountains.
• Day 2: Colosseum and Roman Forum Morning: Tour the Colosseum and the Arch of Constantine. Walk through the Roman Forum and Palatine Hill (a must-see). Afternoon: Visit San Pietro in Vincoli to see Michelangelo’s Moses sculpture.
• Day 3: Vatican City Morning: Explore the Vatican Museums and the Sistine Chapel (book tickets in advance). Afternoon: Visit St. Peter’s Basilica and climb the dome for breathtaking views.
• Day 4: Trastevere and Bohemian Rome Morning: Walk through Trastevere and visit Santa Maria in Trastevere. Stop by Tiber Island. Afternoon: Tour Villa Farnesina or relax in the Botanical Garden..
• Day 5: Aventine Hill and Hidden Gems Morning: Discover the Aventine Hill, including the Orange Garden and the Bocca della Verità. Peek through the famous “keyhole” at Piazza dei Cavalieri di Malta. Afternoon: Walk around Campo de' Fiori. If you have time, visit the Borghese Gallery (advance booking required).
