- go to Kenya- becomes secretary to Louis Leakey, an archaeologist and paleonthologist- passionate about animals, she decided to live with them- completed a doctorate at Newnham College, even though she had no university degree- to alert public opinion to the dangers facing our planet and to bring about a shift in individual behavior towards greater environmental awareness
