GENDER EQUALITY
'Woolf explores the conditions of women in society and argues that to succeed as writers, women must have economic independence and a private space.'

Inequalities weigh
While the world has made progress in gender equality and women's empowerment through the Millennium Development Goals (including equal access to primary education for boys and girls), women and girls continue to face discrimination and violence in every part of the world. Gender equality is not only a fundamental human right, but the necessary condition for a prosperous, sustainable and peaceful world. Ensuring women and girls have equal access to education, medical care, decent work, as well as representation in decision-making, political and economic processes, will promote sustainable economies, which will benefit societies and humanity as a whole

NO TO VIOLENCE AND DISPARITY
Inequalities shouldn't exist but there are those who still use them, I hope for a better world not only for women but also for men.

GENDER EQUALITY
Dumont promises Belle to grant her freedom a year before the final legislative measure on the condition that she "worked well and was loyal": however, he changes his mind, claiming that an injury to her hand has made her less productive. The woman becomes furious and runs away, but Dumont illegally sells her son to a rich landowner. Belle asks a lawyer for help and after a few months she is able to hug her son again. She thus becomes the first black woman to take a white man to trial and win the case.
