The mural of Fyodor Dostoevsky at Istituto Augusto Righi in Naples was created by street artist Jorit as part of his Right Between the Eyes project, promoting culture and peace. The portrait of Dostoevsky, featuring tribal red marks on his cheeks, symbolizes Jorit's concept of peaceful fighters for human rights. Jorit explained that the mural aims to show that culture is essential for understanding conflict and building peace, and that Dostoevsky is a universal cultural treasure.

THE AUGUSTO RIGHI
THE HISTORY OF
In the 1960s, the industrial development in Italy created a need for technical education, leading to the establishment of industrial technical institutes. A branch of the ITIS "A. Volta" was opened in Fuorigrotta, which became independent in 1964, taking the name A. Righi. In 1975, due to rising student numbers, a new nearby institute was created, initially called "X" and later "VIII," specializing in Telecommunications and Computer Science, while "Righi" focused on Industrial and Nuclear Electronics.
In 1998, the "Righi" and "VIII" schools merged, forming the "Righi - VIII" institution, offering specializations in Electronics, Telecommunications, Computer Science, and a preparatory program. In 2010, the school returned to its original name, ITIS "Augusto Righi."
In the 2010/11 school year, the curriculum was updated, adding new study tracks such as "Electrotechnics and Electronics", "Informatics and Telecommunications", "Mechanical and Mechatronics", "Graphic design" and "Environmental Chemistry". From the 2012/13 school year, the school adopted its definitive name; I.T.I. Augusto Righi di Napoli
