travel with david
I’m happy to be here after a really long trip. Yesterday, I took a bus to Rio de Janeiro. I didn’t eat a lot for breakfast before the trip, just some bread and butter. Then I was on the bus for seven hours. We stopped in a lot of places, but I stayed on the bus, so I didn’t have a big lunch. I ate some cookies and a banana, and I drank a bottle of water. I arrived in the afternoon, and I was really hungry, so I didn’t wait. I ate dinner at the bus station! I went to a food stand, and I bought a sandwich with beef, cheese and tomatoes. I needed it! And I liked it, I’m going to eat it again tomorrow. South American food is great. Last week, I tried a soup with potatoes and cheese. I love the fruit in South America too, but it’s not always easy to eat. I wanted a pineapple but I thought it was too big to eat in the bus. I felt really silly when I saw a person eating a chopped pineapple in a food container in the seat next to me.
