Britain stops to colonize
In 1773 England stops to colonize America, with a total of 13 colonies.An important event was "The Boston Tea Party" (1773). Americans gets off in the sea a lots of tea, to rebels.

The 30% of Africa was under the control of England. The territories of Africa included: Egypt, Nigeria, Kenia and south Africa
Settlers in New Zeland
In 1769, a British explorer, names Captain James Cook, landed in New Zeland. When he arrives, he found Maori people. This tribe travelled from Polynesia to New Zeland, 700 years ago. Almost immediatly the war whit the Maori people start.

In 1840 Maori chiefs signeg the Treaty of Waitangi , and New Zeland became the part of the Brithis Empire.Today Waitangi day is a national holiday in New Zeland, and Maori and Europeans live togheder in peace.

In 4 july of 1776 the indipendence of the United State of America was declared.The thirteen English colonies on the Atlantic coast became indipendent of Britain with a document mostly wrote by Thomas Jefferson.

During the XVI century, France and England both have colonies in Canada. But in 1763, after 7 years of war, Britain defeated France, asnd took most of the territories of Canada.In some part of the Canada French is still the offial language.

In 1607 England start to colonize the atlantic coast of America. Of the first 13 colonies, Jamestown, in Virginia, was the first permanent colony. The relation between the settlers and the native people was good, but then all start to degenerate.
England stops to colonize
In 1783 England lost its 13 colonies after the war of Indipendence.This motivated England to explore other parts of the world, in particular Asia and the Pacific.
