D.B COOPER
D.B COOPER
He is one of the biggest unsolved mysteries and the most wanted person in the history of the FBI. His identity is unknown and only portraits of him exist He committed his great crime in 1971.
Who is he?
He was a cold, intelligent and calculating man. He was not a man of many words and only spoke when necessary. This meant that when he raised his voice, he would command authority and fear.
PERSONALITY
The note said that if they did not give him 200k in metallic and four parachutes, he would detonate a bomb that he kept in his briefcase.
He committed the crime on November 24, 1971, on a flight from Oregon to Washington, when a mysterious man named Dan Cooper boarded the plane and he gave the fligth attendant a note
The crime
Escape
After receiving the money, he jumped out of the plane at 10,000 feet high with the money and the four parachutes and on a rainy and stormy night with a military parachute, That is more difficult to use. People believed that he had simply died but certain clues said otherwise.
- However some people thinks that he travelled to other dimension, or that he had a hyper-realistic mask and thats why they never found him.
- The FBI speculates Cooper did not survive his jump for several reasons: the inclement weather, Cooper's lack of proper skydiving equipment, the forested terrain into which he jumped, etc
Theories
Due to the popularity of the case there were many scammers who claimed to have the location of D.B. COOPER and in exchange they asked for money. One of them was a man named Richard Floyd McCoy, Jr. who tried to scam the FBI for 2 million dollars.
