Graphic Novel

Instructions:
  1. Create a drawing for each of the five examples of how life changed in this era.
  2. Add text in the form of word balloons or a caption that explains the cause and effects of how life changed in this era.
  3. Include a title for your graphic novel.
Your drawings do not have to artistic and elaborate, however, they should be appropriate and represent the main ideas you are explaining in your project.  You have a few options to create your graphic novel:
  1. Draw your graphic novel on five separate pages, then scan the pages and upload them when you submit your project.
  2. Use the template linked below to create your graphic novel, then scan the page and upload it when you submit your project.
  3. Design your own one-page template that includes five panels, then scan the page and upload it when you submit your project.
  4. Use an online creator like StoryBoardThat.

Diary of an Imaginary Person

Instructions:
  • You will create five diary entries of an imaginary person from this era. They should be typed.
  • Each diary entry should focus on one example of how life changed in this era. Be sure to express the cause and effect of this change within your entry.
  • All diary entries should include a date that accurately relates to the content. For example, if you create an entry about the armistice that ended World War I, the date must be November 11, 1918, or later. Other dates may not be specific, such as an entry that discusses a leisure activity of the era.
  • Include information in the diary entries that gives details about the imaginary person writing the diary so the reader can understand their perspective. For example, a person who is a younger may have a different view of the world than an older person.

Works Cited

If you use sources outside of our Edio lessons, you need to cite them.
Cite them in two places:
  1. The FULL citation goes on the works cited page/slide at the end of your project.
  2. The IN-TEXT (or parenthetical) citation goes on the slide where you use the information.
