El cambio climático es la variación a largo plazo de las temperaturas y los patrones climáticos en el mundo. Esto se debe a causas naturales y a la acción del hombre, que ha sido el principal causante.

Historia

El cambio climático comenzó hace unos 180 años, más o menos cuando comenzó la Revolución Industrial, ya que esta aumentó los gases de efecto invernadero y por lo tanto incrementa el calentamiento global de la tierra. A partir de aquí ya se empieza a liberar grandes cantidades de estos gases y aún más mientras se expandía la industria globalmente durante el siglo XVIII hasta el siglo XX. A mediados de este siglo los científicos empezaron a estudiar estas actividades y a principios de nuestro siglo con la información que tenían, empezaron a haber acuerdos para reducir estos gases.

Es importante que tomemos medidas poco a poco a nivel global para poder acostumbrarnos y para mitigar estos efectos. Cambio hacia fuentes de energía renovable, reducir nuestra huella de carbono, etc. Además, el cambio climático puede afectar también a la seguridad de las personas por los eventos meteorológicos extremos y creo que se tendría implementar leyes que ayuden a disminuir el cambio climático.
