Personal opinion Concusion
We personally think that arranged marriages mustn't be carried out or legal. Doesn't matter if the person is over 18 or a minor, these kinds of commitments should not be negotiated, especially if the concerned individual does not consent to these kinds of actions.
Questions?
On March 25th, 2017, the National Police arrested a couple who forced their 16-year-old daughter to marry in the Gypsy rite.
Later on, her parents arranged a new marriage and the girl was forced to remarry by the same rite. Four months later, despite being pregnant, she was “again disowned and returned to the family home”.
The victim said she was already forced by her parents to marry on two other occasions in Romania. The first time, when she was only 12, it was a 21-year-old man, who she didn't meet until the day of the wedding.
Definition
Arranged marriages are commitments planned and agreed by the families or guardians of the couple concerned rather than by the couple themselves.
