GIULIO TRAMONTANO

My name is Giulio Tramontano Guerritore, and I have over thirty years of experience in the ITsector, ranging from software development to managing complex infrastructures. I graduated in Computer Science from the University of Salerno and began my career at Alcatel-Lucent, where I worked on innovative projects such as intelligent networks and IPTV, developing expertise in systems integration and problem solving in international contexts. Later, as a Functional Analyst and Software Tester, I managed projects for major national and international clients, refining my skills in functional analysis, testing, and technical documentation. I took on the role of IT Manager in the Retail/GDO sector, overseeing technological infrastructures, ERP migrations, and the implementation of corporate systems, ensuring security and efficiency. My technical skills include database management (Oracle, MySQL), software development with PL/SQL and Java, and optimizing business processes through strategic IT solu19 tions. At the end of my career in the corporate world, I chose to dedicate myself to teaching computer science in public schools, sharing my experience with younger generations and contributing to their education in the digital era.

maria rosaria damiano

I hold a bachelor’s degree in modern European Languages and Literatures. I studied at the Istituto Universitario Orientale in Naples, where I attended a four-year course in English and two-year courses in German and French. I have been teaching English in the Information Technology and Telecommunication courses at the Istituto Marconi, a technical school located in Torre Annunziata, since 1999. I developed experience in teaching English for Special Purposes in the computer field and I even followed a basic course about Java in order to be more proficient in my didactic strategy and communication. I am a beginner as far as Etwinning and Erasmus+ are concerned and am excited about the opportunities this new experience is offering me, both on a personal and a professional level.

ARNO HESSE

My name is Arno Hesse, I am 45 years old and studied Protestant theology and history in Giessen to become a secondary school teacher. I have been working at Burggymnasium in Friedberg for 16 years, where I am responsible for the school library and work in Erasmus with Thomas. As a child, I played a lot of computer games and spent a lot of time in front of the computer. At times, my parents thought it was too much! My interest in technical developments and computers remained. I like travelling and working on projects, which is perhaps why Thomas asked me a few years ago if I would like to work with him on the Erasmus programme. Sustainability and sustainable travelling are very important to me. In my free time I like long distance bicycle tours, for example I cycled from Naples to Matera.

francisco javier fÉLix

I’m a Physical Education teacher, although I also have the responsibility of serving as General Director and Pedagogical Director for Secondary Education at the school. I've always been passionate about guiding and supporting children, teenagers, and young people — something I’ve been doing since I was 17, when I began coaching youth teams and working as a fitness coach for various football teams.I studied Sports Science at the Polytechnic University of Madrid and Primary Education at the European University of Madrid. I’ve been teaching for 12 years, 10 of them at this school, and I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of inspiring and motivating students both inside and outside the classroom. For five years, I combined my work as a teacher with being a coach and educator at the Real Madrid Foundation, a highly enriching experience that allowed me to bring together my two great passions: education and sport. I’m always keen to grow and keep learning, which is why I’m particularly interested in Artificial Intelligence, especially its impact on education and the personal development of my students. For me, education is about more than just teaching content; it’s about inspiring students to grow as individuals, using sport as a powerful tool for learning and development.

THOMAS berlenbach

I studied German, English and Protestant theology in Tübingen, Hamburg and Marburg and teach English and German with a special interest in literature. As I am very excited about international cooperation and the opportunities it offers to our students, I have been involved in Comenius and Erasmus projects at our school for almost 20 years. Since 2013, I have been the coordinator of the projects at the Burggymnasium in Friedberg. For several years I also organised a student exchange with our partner school in Sweden. In 2023, I participated in a Polish-Czeck-German eTwinning project with one of my classes which was awarded with the European Quality label. In our projects we have dealt with a wide range of topics, making use of the opportunity to work in interdisciplinary teams. In the last couple of years we have focused on sustainabilty. Dealing with AI means a new and interesting challenge to us.
