Graduation Pathways: Seniors: Please meet with Ms. Baim to discuss your graduation standing! The Pennsylvania General Assembly in 2018 enacted a law, Act 158 of 2018, that provides students with a variety of opportunities to demonstrate post-high school readiness. All students have five pathways from which to choose to satisfy Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements (see the below graphic). You can also view a brief video overview of Pennsylvania’s graduation pathways at the following link: https://youtu.be/V1b3GNGI6X4 CCA this spring is offering students two of the five pathways: Keystone Exams and other Alternative Assessments. Please check out the Testing Information icon in the Infographic for more information. Act 158 Graduation Pathways Chart: Important: If your child chooses a non-Keystone Exam pathway to satisfy Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements, he or she is still required to take the Keystone Exams for federal accountability purposes – your child’s performance on the Keystone Exams in no way affects his or her course grades or progress in satisfying Pennsylvania’s graduation requirements. If you have any questions about the Keystone Exams, ASVAB, or any of the other tests CCA offers, please contact the State Testing Team at statetesting@ccaeducate.me.

Keystones, ASVAB, SAT, ACT, ACT WorkKeys, etc. CCA is now registering all 10-12 grade students for the WorksKeys (Grades 10-12), ACTs (Grades 11-12), and the SAT (Grades 11-12). If you are interested in having your learner complete one of these tests, which is one way to meet the Act 158 State Graduation requirement, please check out the directions on how to register your student below. The dates and times for each session are also listed below. Registering for the WorkKeys, ACT, and/or SAT Please complete the following steps to register for one or more of the assessments:

  1. Log into your caretaker Edio account at https://www.myedio.com/;
  2. Click on “Profile” in the bottom left corner;
  3. Click on the “Forms & Testing” tab; and
  4. Click on “Fill Out” on the “Parent Portal” tile.
  5. If you have more than one enrolled child, please select the appropriate name at the top of the screen.
  6. Click on “Forms” in the left menu;
  7. Click on “Winter 2025 WorkKeys Registration,” “Spring 2025 ACT Registration,” and/or “Spring 2025 SAT Registration” under the “State Testing” heading.
  8. Complete the form and click “Submit”.
  9. If you are registering for more than one assessment, please repeat steps 6 through 8.
The deadline to register for the WorkKeys is Friday, December 13, 2024. The deadline to register for the ACT and SAT is Monday, January 13, 2025. WorkKeys – Grades 10-12 WorkKeys is a series of assessments that measure a student’s career preparedness and provide students an opportunity to earn the National Career Readiness Certificate (NCRC), which is a credential a student can use to directly enter the workforce or pursue postsecondary education. To earn the NCRC, students must complete the following WorkKeys assessments: Applied Math, Graphic Literacy, and Workplace Documents. ACT – Grades 11-12 The ACT is a standardized test generally taken by students who are planning to attend a college or university. The test assesses five academic areas: English, mathematics, reading, scientific reasoning, and writing. These scores are college reportable and can be used as an alternative assessment for graduation. Note: CCA students taking the ACT through CCA must complete the writing section of the assessment. SAT – Grades 11-12 The SAT is a standardized test generally taken by students who are planning to attend a college or university. The test assesses three academic areas: reading, writing, and math. These scores are college reportable and can be used as an alternative assessment for graduation. If you have any questions or need assistance about the Keystone Exams, ASVAB, or any of the other tests CCA offers, please contact the State Testing Team at statetesting@ccaeducate.me.

Graduation Requirements: Seniors: Please meet with Ms. Baim to discuss your graduation standing! In order to graduate, each CCA student must have 21 credits AND meet the state's Act 158 Requirements for graduation. Below is a breakdown of the 21 credits: To meet the State's Act 158 Graduation requirement, as referred to in the Graduation Pathways tab of this Genially, please check out this 3-Minute Video
