Our mission is to provide a welcoming, inclusive, and supportive learning environment where the diverse needs of every student are at the heart of our design. We are committed to delivering student-centered and unbiased educational experiences that challenge and inspire our students. Through active and purposeful instruction, our educators guide young adolescents in exploring a diverse and integrative curriculum, adding critical thinking and lifelong learning.

  • Our school wants to focus on supporting students as they foster new and experimental identities for themselves. We want to encourage them to try out new roles and feel confident in doing so, whether or not they accept or reject those identities over time.

  • At Lilac academy, we will devise a cataloging system wherein students update their private profiles with information about their interests, personal characteristics, clubs, ethnicity, race, sexual and gender identity. They are encouraged to update their profiles regularly—in fact teachers should provide students time to do so—but not erase any of their past data. One thing that we want students to recognize through this catalog is the timeline of their growth and development.
