The play pericles is a romatic drama traditionally attributed to shakespeare, though scholars believe it is collabrative work, with the first two acts likely to be written by george wilkins and the rest shakespere it was first performed around 1607-1608 and published in 1908. PLOT OVERVIEW the play follows follows the episodic adventures of prince pericles as he attemps to evade the king Antiochus, who seeks to punish him for uncovering the secret of the kings incestrous relationship with his daughter. pericles then embarks on a series of perilous voyages, encountering shipwrecks, love, loss and redemption. he marries thaisa who he believes died in childbirth and their daughter marina grows up seperated from her father ultimately, the play continues with a series of joyful reunions. Background of pericles
regarded as one of the greatest writers in English language and world literature, his main themes exlore human nature, love, ambition, power, and morality his influence on language and culture is profound, coining countless pharases and words still used today all plays are still popular in life. Shakespeare/pericles Schlors believe this play was a co-ownership and was not entirely written by shakspeare and infact the first two acts they believe was written by George wilkins, pericles is classified as a Late romance alongside plays like the tempast and cymbeline these plays have fantastical and adventurous elements the play was incredibly popular in his lifetime altough it fell out of favor in subsequant centuries but has seen revivials in modern times, especially for its theatrical specticles. The play draws from medieval and calssical sources, practicarly the story of apollonius of tyre which appears in John Gowers 14th century narrative poem confessio amantis.

RESEARCH INTO DIFFERENT THEATRE PRACTITIONERS
Anne bogartanne bogart is a celebrated american theatre and opera director, educator and author who co founded the SITI company which she founded with Tadashi Sazuki in 1992 works with this company included falling and loving, the bachee and chess match. Anne Bogarts viewpoints is a movement based technique that helps actors to create meaning through there bodies and also to create meaning through space and time its a postmodern dance and theatre composention that encourages the Actors to focus on movement over characters motivations it helps actors with improvisation and extend moments to create dramatic meaning.
Character research of pander
The character of pander is a corrupt and expolitative figue who represents the darker nature of a human. As the owner of the brothel, he is primarily motivated with greed, seeking to profit from the innocence and beauty of others, particuarly young women like Marina. his role in the play, though small, is important in highlighting the moral challenges Marina must face. Pander's attempts to force her into life of vice serve as a stark contrast to her unwavering virtue and strength of character. Alongside bawd and bolt, He provides a grimely comedic depiction of human depravity, his crude dialogue and moral indifferance adding a layer of grotesque humor to the play. Ultimently, Panders failures undescores one of the plays main themes the triumph of purity and morality over corruption and explotation.
evaluation
You individual performer perspective: process and performance: Creative and Rehearsal Process What skills and methods did you develop? In this performance I developed my skills on projection another skill I have developed further is my movement with my character. How did you develop overall as an actor in the process I think I have improved a lot with confidence in performing overall over this project as this is the most I have ever done with singing and a small bit of dancing and acting I never did all of this before all at once l so I was getting out my comfort zone and it was a new experience widening my skills as an actor. What were the points in the process you found most challenging? Why? The point I found most challenging was probably the dancing bits and singing the reason why I have never felt confident in singing and dancing I always shy myself out of it stoping myself What would you do differently next time? Next time I will go even further with pushing myself when attempting to do more of the dancing/singing side of the performance, I will make my character’s characteristics way more bolder. Performance: What scenes/moments of the performance were you most successful in? Why? I think the scene I was in was very successful as me and Gracie worked on it a few times and we both knew our lines very well our characters where very fun to work, although I put her though a annoying time trying to make me remember the sweeny Tod song but at the end I got it right. What scenes/moments of the performance were you least successful in? Why? The moments I was least successful in where the singing parts in my opinion I kept on forgetting some of the lyrics in the songs or I would say it faster then others or just mime the song What scenes did you most enjoy? Why all as I believe we all did incredible
