Revenge
The first character who looks for revenge is Hamlet, in fact he wants to murder Claudius but, due to a mistake, he kills Polonius, father of Laertes and Ophelia. This takes to the desire of revenge also in Laertes, causing a cycle of vengeance which has several consequences.

Several of the people involved could be considered mad. Most notably, Hamlet and Ophelia. The madness is driven in part by the deaths of their fathers. The madness of each of these characters ultimately ends in tragedy.
Death
- The death of the king of Denmark, Hamlet's Father. He's now just a ghost seeking for revenge for his murder
- Death is in the final duel between Hamlet and Lartes, into thinking he has to get revenge for his sister Ophelia and his dad Polonius
- Hamlet wonders whetter it's better to live suffering or to try to defeat the pain, risking life
