Griffiths III New User Training course - Part II
This tutor-led Griffiths III Practical Training Course will demonstrate and teach the testing procedures required to achieve reliability in the administration of the Griffiths III test, including:
- Supervised experience using the Griffiths III in testing typically developing children of different age ranges, illustrating the full range of the scales.
- An understanding of the way neurodevelopmental problems may affect the child’s performance.
- The ability to manage difficulties encountered during assessment (e.g., due to the child’s disability, attention, cooperation, etc.).
- An understanding of using the Griffiths III with children who demonstrate atypical development.
- Target audience
- Open to paediatricians, psychologists and allied health professional who have successfully completed the Griffiths III Video Training Course module.

Paediatric Nephro-Urology Module 2025
The paediatric nephro-urology course is a primarily virtual module. It consists of four core learning blocks with two additional optional learning blocks. The focus of this course is to deepen the students understanding of the pathology and pathophysiology of childhood nephro- urological conditions. Current treatment modalities and their implications in practice will be explored.This module is aimed towards nurses wishing to further develop their nephrology and urology skills. Learners must currently work in an area that cares for Paediatric nephro- urological patients.
Foundations in Childrens Community Care (EL-FiCC)

This module aims to critically analyse the provision of multi-disciplinary care for children and young people in the community. Through the exploration of dimensions of community practice, clinical aspects, legal, ethical and policy participants will explore and critically evaluate the care, assessment and factors influencing the care of children and young people in the community setting.
10th Paediatric Surgery VIVA Course
This in person course is aimed towards senior paediatric surgery trainees due to take their exit examination and will cover the breadth of the syllabus. Virtual spaces will be available upon request only for international candidates.

Paediatric critical care education teams across the South Thames Paediatric Network have come together to develop the Paediatric Acute Nursing in Critical Care levels 1 and 2 module (PANiCC), accredited by the Paediatric Critical Care Society.This is an exciting opportunity for experienced paediatric nurses to develop their skills when caring for children who require paediatric critical care and pre and post-operative care.The surgical component will run alongside each block which consists of additional e-learning and an additional skills and simulation day.

Paediatric Enhanced Clinical Assessment Course (EL-PECA)

The paediatric enhanced clinical assessment course is designed to teach practitioners to obtain a full medical history and perform the relevant physical examination utilizing the A, B, C, D, E approach to complement information obtained in the history. To accomplish this an understanding of the basic physiology of key systems will be necessary to enable practitioners to critically connect aspects of the history and physical exam and apply that information to the child’s current health status.
How does this work?
For our module programmes and some other offerings we enable the option to pay via invoice. What if the fee is too large for a Credit/Debit Card or PayPal transaction? Or if you have funding from your organisation? No problem. You can continue to go through the booking process on Eventbrite, but once you are at the checkout stage you can choose to “pay via invoice”.
Invoice
We will need a Purchase Order (PO) from your organisation. This PO will be used to raise an invoice against your organisation to cover the fees. PO's would need to be sent to evelinaeducation@gstt.nhs.uk.

Paediatric Emergency Nursing Education teams from Evelina London, Guy's and St Thomas' NHS Trust, and the Royal Alexandra Children's Hospital, University Hospitals Sussex NHS Foundation Trust, have come together to develop a paediatric emergency nursing course.This is an exciting opportunity for experienced paediatric emergency nurses and adult emergency nurses with experience in looking after children in the ED to develop their skills when assessing and caring for children presenting in ED requiring medical or psycho-social care; including minor injuries, critical care, and major trauma.
Some of our events, particulary for internal Guy's and St Thomas' Staff are free. No payment is required.

Evelina London Orthopaedic Surgery Challenging Cases Webinars
These interactive webinars each use FOUR clinical cases of children with complex orthopaedic disorders from our personal caseloads to discuss history taking, clinical assessment, investigations, differential diagnosis, decision making and overall management of their problems. Presented by the consultant paediatric orthopaedic surgeons Gavin Spence and Michail Kokkinakis, and supplemented by short instructional sessions covering the key take-home messages, the cases will be available for you to view prior to the webinar to make your suggestions, ask your questions, and trigger discussion on areas of controversy and difficulty.

MRCPCH Clinical Course, January 2025
This course aims to prepare candidates for the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health membership (MRCPCH) clinical examination. It includes clinical short cases and practice in communication skills and ethics and history taking and management planning. Patients from the Evelina Children’s Hospital and a number of other local hospitals will attend for real life practice. The course concludes with a mock exam and individual feedback on performance.

It will provide a foundation level knowledge and clinical skills for paediatric recovery nurses, adult nurses and ODP’s looking after paediatric patients in recovery.Paediatric recovery foundation module will enable practitioners to provide competent evidence based care for paediatric patients by effectively assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care. They will understand and promote the role of a paediatric recovery nurse/practitioner.
