A group of Pilgrims have to leave England for religious motives. Their boat was called the Mayflower The trip would take them two months

Tne Pilgrims arrived in US on November 1620. The rock showing the exact place where they got off the ship is nowadays exposed in Pilgrims Memorial State Park in Massachusetts.

Their first winter was horrible. They were not prepared for such cold temperatures

Some of the Pilgrims stayed in the ship. They didn't know how to grow crops in the new lands.

When Spring arrived Native Americans (Indians) taught Pilgrims how to fish, hunt and grow crops.

And when the following Autumn (in 1621) the Pilgrims had enough food to survive, they decided to give thanks to the Native Americans, sharing the food with them.
