In Bangladesh, for example, World Vision launched a campaign against child marriage in 2014 which has a serious impact on this country, obtaining a commitment from the local administration in the Muktagacha South area to prevent this practice.

Rise Up Daughters of India (Empowerment for Girls in India) is an innovative World Vision project that aims to break down gender discrimination and improve the level of health and education of girls in India, improving school infrastructure and promoting access to toilets. The dilapidated structures of schools, together with the lack of toilets and drinking water, are in fact among the main reasons for school dropouts in this country, particularly for girls. 80% of schools in India do not have toilets for girls, who therefore stop going to school so as not to be forced to do their business on the street, putting their safety, health and dignity at risk .

In Africa we respond quickly to the largest humanitarian emergencies caused by droughts and cyclones, and we support communities in the fight against intergenerational poverty and gender stereotypes.
