Buckingham palace
Buckingham Palace è l’attuale residenza della Re Carlo III. Il nome deriva dal Duca di Buckingham e Normandy, John Sheffield, che nel 1703 decise di costruire l’edificio come sua residenza di campagna, dato che all’epoca la città non comprendeva ancora l’attuale zona di Westminster. Nel 1762 la residenza venne però venduta al re Giorgio III che la trasformò in residenza privata della famiglia reale, in particolare per la moglie, la Regina Carlotta. Nel 1818 morì la Regina Carlotta e solo 2 anni dopo anche il Re Giorgio III, così il figlio Giorgio IV decise di trasformare la residenza in vero e proprio palazzo reale.

St. Paul Cathedral
La cattedrale di St. Paul,edificata in legno fu distrutta da un incendio nel 1666 però fu ricostruita in diversi momenti e conclusa tra il 1676 e il 1710. La cattedrale è un enorme tempio con pianta a croce latina e presenta, sul tetto, fantastici affreschi. La parte più attraente della cattedrale è la grande cupola composta da tre ambienti: la Galleria dei Sussurri, la Galleria della Pietra e la Galleria Dorata.
