When a prospective candidate applies, they are considered an applicant. All applicants for the role are held in this stage. It is the recruiter's responsibility to review applications, and either move them forward or reject/disposition them based on the qualifications for the role.
Application Review
Candidates who are reviewed and deemed qualified for an initial recruiter phone screen are moved from application review into this stage. Not all candidates within this stage will be screened, but are deemed good fits.
Reviewed; Qualified
The Recruiter/Talent Acquisition Partner assigned to the role is responsible for this stage. Here, they will hold a conversation (called a phone screen) with qualified applicants and gather key information to further qualify them for the role. Candidates that are successful in this stage are passed over to the hiring manager.
Recruiter Phone Screen
Candidates are placed into hiring manager review once they are submitted to the hiring manager to be evaluated. This submission typically includes the candidate's resume, application information, and a summary of the recruiter's notes and recommendation. Candidates are kept in this stage until interviews are scheduled.
Hiring Manager Review
In this stage, the Talent Acquisition team assists in moving candidates through a pre-defined interview process (set during the kickoff call). Most positions can be successful with 2 interview rounds. Panel interviews can be explored to limit additional steps. Leadership-level interviews can be considered for additional interview stages as warranted. Responsibility for this stage is shared between the TA team (scheduling and candidate communication) and the hiring managers (holding interviews and completing scorecards on time).
Interview Stages
The Hiring Manager Interview is typically the first stage in the recruitment process following recruiter submission. This is the first screening opportunity for a candidate to meet the hiring manager, and for the hiring manager to evaluate a candidate.
Hiring Manager Interview
Following a successful interview process, candidates can be selected to join SOCi. Hiring managers should work with their recruiter/recruitment manager to determine offer details. These offer details are entered into Greenhouse and a formal automated offer approval will take place. The recruiter is responsible for the stages leading up to a verbal offer to the candidate, as well as the verbal offer itself. Hiring managers and all applicable stakeholders are notified of the verbal offer outcome.
