Articulation of sound / w / by stepsMouth: Slightly open your mouth. Lips: round the lips into a tight circle and push them forward, away from the teeth. Then release your lips with a quick and sharp movement. Tongue: Lift the back of the tongue very high and pull it up to the throat. Voice: Add your voice by vibrating your vocal cords. Airflow: Release the air between the lips. Note. Make sure that your tongue does not obstruct the airflow.

Place your hand in front of your mouth. Say the word "woo" (like an owl). Feel the puff of air on your hand. That's the /w/ sound working!
