Ensure that the patients ear level is at the clinician’s eye level through good patient positioning. The patient should be asked to keep their back straight and both feet flat on the floor where possible.Therefore the clinician should have an adjustable chair and the patient should sit on a steady and stable chair
Easy access to handwashing facilities and hand gel/sanitizer
All instruments required for the procedure are within easy reach, remaining sealed in their packaging.It is also recommended to have distinct clean and dirty areas to avoid cross contamination.
