Consumerism means buying and using many products and services. It is the idea that having more things can make people happy. Sometimes, it is good because it helps businesses and the economy grow. But it can also be bad if people buy things they don’t need or if it creates too much waste and pollution. For example:
- Buying new clothes every month because it’s fun is consumerism.
- Using what you already have instead of buying new things is not consumerism.
What is consumerism?
