Greenland vs Climate Change

Impact of Climate Change on Greenland Melting Ice Sheets:

Greenland's ice sheets are melting at an unprecedented rate due to rising global temperatures, contributing significantly to global sea-level rise. Our wildlife friends like polar bears, seals, and arctic foxes may lose their chilly homes (nuu). Coastal communities in Greenland face flooding risks. Traditional hunting and fishing practices may be lost, and economic instability due to changing ecosystems, will surely, come about.

Efforts to Combat Climate Change in Greenland

Greenland is also fighting the good fight against climate change. Here are some of the things they have done- Renewable Energy: Greenland is investing in hydroelectric power to reduce reliance on fossil fuels. International Research: Collaborations with scientists worldwide to monitor and model climate impacts, aiming to predict future changes. Local Advocacy: Indigenous groups are raising awareness about sustainable practices and the need for global climate action.

But its not nearly enough

With the way it's going, it doesn't seem like climate change will slow down much enough. It already accounts for around 25% of rising sea levels annualy today. And it is only going to get much worse for the rest of the world.
