"How Our Mindset and Actions Can Change Everything"

One Small Action, Many Bad Ones Afterward
During my time at Tec, I've noticed that many classmates don’t really care about how upcycling or swapping works. There is a group of students who typically exchange clothes to give them a second life, but with the money they get, they end up buying another trendy item that they will easily discard later.
Is H&M Lying to Us?
Many times, we blindly believe in brands when they sell us a product as sustainable or made from 100% material that benefits the environment; but this changes when we dig deeper into their manufacturing methods and how the garment is created. Often, it's produced in large quantities, making it impossible for it to be as "green" as they claim.

"It's important to recycle plastic to save the planet"
Many people believe that recycling is important and promote it through social media or by collecting these products for recycling like in our university with a box in the food court . However, they then go on to buy more products, like water bottles or fizzy drinks in single-use plastic packaging, without realising that recycling alone isn’t enough if we continue to produce and consume plastic on such a massive scale.

Save the Planet by Showering in Just 5 Minutes!!!
Another common misconception is believing that you contribute significantly to water conservation by simply showering for less than 5 minutes. However, after this, actions like consuming products from profit-driven companies or constantly travelling by private car make this small effort virtually insignificant.
That’s why, when we look into different sources of information, we realise that other actions contribute more to pollution or the unnecessary waste of resources than what we actually believe is harmful.
Are we with you or not?
When we talk about reducing climate change and CO2 emissions, we’re also talking about government; they are the main ones responsible for this, as they create false ideas or expectations during their campaigns, showing support and interest in reducing the human footprint. One example of this is that they massively subsidise the oil and gas industry, encouraging the extraction and burning of fossil fuels, which are the primary contributors to global warming, while at the same time promoting renewable energy policies in their speeches.
