Hurricanes in Florida

Collins and associates in the book, Hurricanes and Climate say, "“only maximum wind speeds for named storms, hurricanes and major hurricanes are quantitatively related to the underlying seawater temperature.” they go on describing how with warmer waters the intensity of these storms are incresing.

There are not too many prevetative measures can be taken to prevent the hurricanes, however there are precausions and preperation, people have built their houses hurricane proof and houses in flood prone areas have started building on stilts. people have emergency hurricane stashes and procedures.

Hurricanes affect on Florida.

Every year, due to rising temperatures and warmer waters there are more and more hurricanes durring hurricane season, pounding Florida and it's coasts. This pummeling of these catastropic storms has displaced people and animals, destroyed homes and erroded Florida, changing the state.

Other Victims

Similar to Florida, Cuba, the Dominican Republic and Haiti are also hammered with hurricanes durring the season. Pichler and colleauges say, "repeated hurricanes and related floods have caused, over the years, a steadily high number ofcasualties", speaking about the Dominican Republic and Haiti however, they say that Cuba has a remarkable robustness to extreme natural disasters. The regions around the Dominican Republic and Hati are obvously thus impacted negitively while Cuba does not see as many negative affects. Hurricanes hitting these 3 areas does not affect the rest of the Globe too much but the affects on the interiors of these countries is large, and they have to deal with a lot after these hurricanes hit.
