The Australian government is devloping a "Net Zero" 2050 plan which is how they are going to reduce emissions to prevent climate change. Through this, they plan to focus on boosting renewable energy and creating various initiatives for humans to reduce their emmisions. This will persuade people to reduce their carbon footprint and provide incentives for those who are contributing. There are various agencies that that keep track of projects, climate, and emissions to benefit the future of Australia.

Drought conditions in Australia are worsening as climate change progresses. In this past, it is evident that there have been some instances of extreme drought episodes; however, research shows that precipitation could decrease by 50% by 2090. With a drought, there is limited access to fresh water, meaning the agriculture, animals, and humans are all negatively impacted.

Between 2019 and 2020, Australia experienced very large and intense fires. These destroyed the homes of not only humans, but many animals in the wild, as well as the vegetation in the area. In Australia, there are areas called "wet" forests, which usually dull the fires. During this time, however, these forests burned. Although fires have been common here for a while, it is evident that they are increasing and becoming even stronger and denser due to climate change because the land is becoming dryer and hotter.

One of the biggest threats to Autralia from climate change is to the Great Barrier Reef. The Great Barrier Reef is off of the country's east coast and is home to the world's largest reef system and stretches over 2,300 kilometers. Due to the hot temperatures, it causes the coral to bleach and loses its color, becoming susceptible to the coral dying altogether.

Like many other places on the coast, the sea-levels will rise between 45 and 82 centimeters by 2090 with the current climate change predictions. This will impact the structures on the coast and water resources. The overall impacts to humans and animals will be the lack of resources and destruction of infrastructure. The combined effects will have a detrimental impact to the atmosphere, like large amounts of carbon released, humans, and animals, which is already evident in areas like the Great Barrier Reef where many habitats are destroyed.
Places on the coast, like Miami, and countries in the Mediterranean Basin, like Spain, Greece, and Italy, are all impacted by sea-level rising. Additionally, places like California experience drought and wildfires dur to the climate heating tremendously. Overall, climate change is affecting many areas in several parts of the world in various ways.
